Murmello is built and operated by Tomas Godoy Pastore, an independent developer. The product combines terminal tabs and splits, cloud workspaces for coding agents, file transfers and dictation in one Mac app.

It is proprietary software with a free plan and paid cloud plans. Murmello is an independent product; it is not made by Anthropic or OpenAI.

What you can use today

Run Claude Code, Codex or a shell in a cloud workspace. Bring code with Git, return to retained files, manage account keys and dictate prompts. The desktop app requires macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon.

Current release

Current download: Murmello 0.6.4 for Apple silicon. Download the current release.

The app can check for updates through Settings → Updates. The public update feed carries release metadata.

0.6.4 — Reconnect and protect unsaved work

Cloud terminals reconnect after a dropped connection. Deleting a stopped workspace now explains what unsaved work would be lost and offers to fetch commits first.

The first-run tour shows the window’s controls alongside its commands. Cloud allowance and account-hold messages explain the next step.

Install and Relaunch applies an update after asking to restart, even with terminal tabs open. Cloud workspaces keep running.
